The Implications for Employment and Social Security Taxes, and Employment Law
Employment and social security taxes with Cathy Bryant
EU social security regulations will cease to apply following Brexit. Employers and employees need to understand the impact of this and how a no deal scenario could affect the payment of social security contributions. In this session we will looked at the various scenarios which could apply.
We also considered the position of internationally mobile employees between UK and EU locations and what considerations should be taken into account for employees from a tax perspective when employers decide to move their operations to the EU.
Brexit and employment law with William Downing and Debra Gers
In this essential session, we looked ahead to what might happen to UK employment case law or legislation after the transition period. Our employment law experts provided practical information to help employers support their team members – including those that may now require permission to remain in the UK and UK nationals required to travel to the EEA for work purposes. We also looked at some particular questions that may arise, such as what if EEA citizens do not wish to remain in the UK and request to continue to work remotely, as many have done during the pandemic?
