Help to Buy scheme set to be extended

31st July 2020

Various sources over the last few days are indicating ministers will extend the Help to Buy scheme beyond the December deadline to prevent buyers losing out on buying a property that they would otherwise not be able to afford without a Help to Buy equity loan.

COVID-19 has caused headaches for developers who have not been able to keep to build programmes and so any extension would be a welcome relief for many of our developer and purchasers clients alike.

More to follow once a formal announcement has been made from Homes England.
