We would like to invite you to our next Public Sector Network seminar at our Cardiff office on Wednesday 17 October 2018, specifically for those in the public and third sector.

It's been a very hectic year so far in information governance.  Almost five months on from the data protection 'big bang' on 25 May, in this session we will take stock of the current position and look at some of the trends and challenges that the reforms have posed for the public sector.  Topics will include handling data breaches, ensuring your contracts are compliant, and understanding how GDPR impacts on your HR teams.

We are very pleased to once again be joined by a representative from the Information Commissioner's Office, who will be able to bring the regulator's perspective to these topics.  Blake Morgan's own data protection specialist Jon Belcher will also be providing his tips for compliance.  In the employment context, many employers are now dealing with the practical implications of GDPR on a daily basis and Debra Gers from our Employment team will be discussing some of the most challenging issues.

As usual, there will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions of the speakers as well as network with colleagues from across the public sector in Wales.
