Employment Club Seminar - Dec 6 Oxford
“GDPR discussion was excellent and learned much. The update this time was really interesting and very topical.”
Come and join us at our Employment Club Seminar in Oxford on 6 December.
The seminar will be covering:
- Poor mental health is a major cause of sickness absence and the cost to employers is estimated to be between £33 - 42 billion a year. Early intervention is crucial and in our first case study we will look how to effectively manage mental health issues in the workplace including the key role played by managers and the range of practical measures employers can put in place to support staff.
- Public health scandals, data breaches, fraud, misconduct by senior managers. All have generated a huge amount of media interest and in our second case study we will look at the topical issue of whistleblowing. We will consider the legal protection available to staff who speak up about malpractice, their rights in relation to both their employers and colleagues and the steps organisations can take to put in place effective whistleblowing procedures.
- Finally, it's that time of year again, and in our end of year Employment law review we will update you on the most significant legal changes and case law decisions from 2018 and will discuss what changes are on the horizon.
There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion about recent developments and time for questions with your HR colleagues and members of our Employment team and we hope you can join us.
