Introducing the new Head of our London Employment, Pensions and Immigration team…
We take this opportunity to introduce Oliver Weiss, who has been with the firm since 2003 and was recently promoted to take over as head of the 8 strong London Employment, Pensions and Immigration team.
Oliver has particular expertise in the recruitment sector, advising staffing companies and umbrella companies, as well as end user clients of staffing services, on a range of employment and commercial matters including employment status and TUPE. He has advised on complex and high value employment status cases involving HMRC and the GLA. He regularly presents at industry events, including those organised by the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo).
Oliver and his colleagues Michelle-Lawlor Perkins and Lucy Miles advise on the usual range of employment issues including corporate transactions and complex Employment Tribunal matters, such as discrimination and employment status, as well as restraint of trade matters in the High Court, for example involving the breach of covenants and misuse of confidential information by former employees.
Our London team also boasts specialist Immigration and Pensions law practices which provide a full service in those areas. We are sure it will come as no surprise that our Immigration team has been particularly busy since the result of the EU referendum!
The combined team works closely with other Blake Morgan teams, both in London and our other offices, to ensure seamless delivery of services to our clients. The team would be delighted to welcome you to our new contemporary London office, if you have not already visited, located at 6 New Street Square.
When Oliver does have time to relax he enjoys travelling and skiing as well as playing (occasionally) and watching (almost constantly) football.
