Real Estate Solicitor Nominated In Muslim 100 List

Blake Morgan solicitor Sophie Safa Shaladi has been nominated for inclusion in a publication which will honour the highest levels of achievement from within the international Muslim community.

Sophie, a Senior Solicitor in Blake Morgan’s London Real Estate Team, has been nominated for inclusion in the Trailblazers section of the Muslim 100 Power List.

The list, organised by the British Publishing Company, is distributed internationally to positively promote the outstanding contribution made by Muslim men and women on a local, national and global level.

Experienced in a wide range of real estate matters and fluent in Arabic, Sophie acts for clients in the UK, the Middle East and around the world.

With an initial background in management consulting and project management, Sophie switched to law in 2011, specialising in residential and commercial property.

Since October 2017 she has been part of Blake Morgan’s 60-strong Real Estate practice, dealing with commercial and residential development, property investment and asset management, corporate occupier work and agriculture. She has a specialist interest in Islamic Finance as it relates to Real Estate Finance.

Sophie is committee member involved in setting up an Arab Lawyers Association, whose aim is to offer professional development, networking and social opportunities to members, and to encourage and support the next generation with networking opportunities, workshops and mentoring.

She has a broad range of real estate experience, including advising landlords and tenants on commercial leases, dealing with all aspects of residential property, advising developers on acquisitions for residential and commercial development, site set up and disposals and corporate supports. She also deals with advising lenders and borrowers in relation to real estate finance.

With a diverse network of clients and contacts in the UK and internationally, Sophie acts for property companies, landlords, lenders, tenants and purchasers. She is a qualified Solicitor-Advocate and having recently completed the Notarial Practice course is due to register to practice as a Notary Public imminently.
