Dalata Hotels has acquired one of Cardiff's leading hotels in a £24million deal.

As Ireland’s largest hotel operator, Dalata was already operating the four star Clayton Hotel on behalf of Rush (Central) Limited. The 216 bedroom hotel is located close to Cardiff Central Train Station, benefits from seven meeting rooms and is home to the popular Viva Brazil restaurant.

Ian Jones and Kim Tonks of Rush (Central) were advised by James Williams of Blake Morgan’s corporate and commercial team and EJ Hales.

Ian Jones of Rush (Central) Limited commented: “We enlisted the help of Blake Morgan to advise on the sale of our company; taking responsibility for concluding the share sale agreement and all the subsidiary documentation. Their assistance, at all times, was professional, timely and pragmatic as they guided us through the twists and turns of the share sale. We were constantly made aware of the likely outcome of negotiations and were able to anticipate and conclude the sale successfully.”

James Williams of Blake Morgan added: “With significant retail and leisure experience, we were delighted to advise on all aspects of this exciting deal including the due diligence and disclosure process. Both Ian and Kim are valued clients and we look forward to continuing our work with them on future property and commercial matters.”
