National recognition for Blake Morgan Litigation specialists

Litigation specialists at the law firm Blake Morgan have been recognised leaders in their field by the judges of a prestigious national award.

The firm has been shortlisted for the Litigation Team of the Year in the Solicitors Journal Awards 2016, which celebrate excellence in the legal profession.

The team is made up of more than 60 litigators from across Blake Morgan’s offices in Cardiff, London, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading and Southampton and specialises in commercial and contract disputes in the private and public sectors.

Blake Morgan’s submission highlighted the firm’s ethos of client care and dedication, the strength and depth of the team’s expertise and its experience across a full range of sectors, with a particular focus on health and education.

It also underlined the firm’s highly-regarded mediation offering and its commitment to training, including the development of its own Blake Morgan Litigation Diploma for junior litigators.

The firm is already recognised in the legal directory Chambers as one of 11 national leaders outside London, while a merger with Piper Smith Watton last year further strengthened Blake Morgan’s highly regarded London-based team.

Team members will find out if they have won at a black-tie ceremony hosted by broadcaster Andrew Marr in London’s Connaught Rooms on May 25.

Susie Dryden, a Partner in Blake Morgan's  litigation practice, said: “We are pleased that Blake Morgan’s expertise in litigation has been once again recognised at a national level.

“Our success is built on experience, close working relationships with clients and our strong emphasis on client care. We are now a large team but stay close to our roots. We are immensely proud to be shortlisted with a submission that showcased the strength of our sector approach and the complexity of the work we regularly handle.”
