Blake Morgan succeeds in tender to provide legal services to North West Legal Consortium

Public sector specialists at Blake Morgan have been successful in a competitive tender process to provide legal services to the North West Legal Consortium, a framework including 44 North West public sector organisations which was led and procured by Sefton Council.

The law firm’s commercial team, led by partner Simon McCann, has been selected as a framework provider to supply the 44 authorities with legal advice on projects, procurement and commercial projects.

The decision follows a tender process designed to enable the Consortium to choose providers based on cost efficiency and quality of service.

Blake Morgan’s successful bid underlined the firm’s expertise in public sector procurement, major projects and commercial law.

Simon McCann said: “We are pleased to have impressed the North West Legal Consortium with the Blake Morgan offering. Our team worked hard on the bid and we are delighted that the Consortium has recognised our firm’s pragmatic approach and our ability to work in close partnership with clients on public sector projects where attention to detail and securing the best value are key considerations.”

The appointment to the North West Legal Consortium follows a similar success with Test Valley Borough Council, which last year selected Blake Morgan to support an 18-month procurement process to find a new provider for its leisure services.
