Blake Morgan announced as first tenant of One Central Square in Cardiff
One of the UK’s leading Law Firms, Blake Morgan has committed to taking space at Rightacres One Central Square development signalling a major vote of confidence in the developer’s Central Square scheme.
Following the recent merger of Morgan Cole and Blake Lapthorn, a key priority was to find a new home for the combined business which has recently been named Law Firm of the Year in Wales .
Commenting on the agreement, Phil Jardine, Divisional Director, Built Environment at Blake Morgan said “Our decision to relocate to what promises to be a fantastic city centre development underscores our commitment to developing our business in Wales. We hope that our commitment will contribute to the success of the Central Square scheme and to Cardiff’s continued drive to establish itself as a Financial & Professional services centre. Blake Morgan is one of the leading law firms in the UK employing over one thousand people in offices throughout the UK. It is understood that Blake Morgan will lease 30,000 sq. ft. on the top two floors of the nine storey building with an option to take further space if required.
Work on the new building is well underway with practical completion due in December 2015 and Cardiff’s Blake Morgan team, which is currently 230 strong, is scheduled to relocate in January 2016.
