Solicitors from Blake Lapthorn are celebrating success after securing an impressive number of mentions in a prestigious guide to the UK legal profession.

Our firm, which has offices in Southampton, Oxford, London and Portsmouth, has improved on last year’s record performance in rankings published today by legal directory Chambers, which are based on feedback given by clients.

Blake Lapthorn now has 67 solicitors ranked as leaders in their field in Chambers and a total of 43 of the firm’s practice areas have been recommended in the publication’s league tables – reinforcing the firm’s status as leading specialists in a wide range of core markets.

Chambers UK: A Client’s Guide to the Legal Profession is widely-regarded as the most authoritative guide to the legal profession in the UK and is compiled from research including interviews with clients and other law firms.

We have 15 new and improved rankings in today’s results, including those in Asset Finance, Aviation, Charities, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Licensing and Planning. Our firm has four rankings in the new category of National Leaders outside London.

Chambers gives Blake Lapthorn the highest Tier 1 ranking in 22 areas including agriculture and rural, charities, clinical negligence, construction, corporate, employment, licensing and real estate. The firm was also given 13 Tier 2 rankings.

The success in Chambers follows a similarly impressive result in the Legal 500 directory, which recommended more than 50 Blake Lapthorn lawyers last month.

Walter Cha, managing partner of Blake Lapthorn, said: “We are delighted to feature so strongly in Chambers this year and to improve on what was already an impressive showing in 2012.

“We pride ourselves on offering our clients a first-class service. These rankings show that we are meeting our clients’ expectations across a range of services.”
