They came, they saw and they rocked – and by the end of the night raised hundreds of pounds for their chosen good causes.
Lawyers, accountants and chartered surveyors battled it out in the fourth Solent Rocks! contest, hosted by law firm Blake Morgan at music venue The Brook in Southampton.
Clover, from law firm Coffin Mew, impressed judges with a set including classic rock by Queen to take home the £500 prize for The Rose Road Association and the Alzheimer’s Society.
The remaining proceeds from ticket sales will be distributed between all the competitors’ chosen charities.
They were the Hughe Fighters, from commercial property agents Hughes Ellard, who were runners-up, Blake Morgan’s band Eclectic Zoo, Contraband from chartered surveyors Primmer Olds and No Accounting For Taste from accountants and business advisors BDO .
Blake Morgan associate Jessica Tresham said: “In its fourth year, Solent Rocks goes from strength to strength.
“The event is now a firm fixture in the diary and each band is keen to return next year to fight for the Solent Rocks! Cup”.
