Regulatory lawyer Guy Micklewright shortlisted for prestigious award

Guy Micklewright, a barrister and senior associate in Blake Morgan's Professional Regulatory Team, is celebrating after being shortlisted in the national Bar Council Employed Bar Awards. 

The Bar Council Employed Bar Awards recognise the vital contribution of barristers working in-house in the public, private and third sectors.  The awards, hosted by the Employed Barrister's Committee, are in their first year and will be held at the Tower of London on 30 June 2017.

Guy is one of three finalists for the 'Outstanding achievement by a barrister in a corporate organisation or a solicitors' firm' award.   His shortlisting recognises the quality of legal advice and representation he provides to clients, and the outstanding contribution he has made to the firm.

Having joined the firm in 2009, Guy was promoted to senior associate last year. He has played a key role in the rise of Blake Morgan's Professional Regulatory team - one of the leading teams of professional regulatory lawyers in the country.  He specialises in prosecuting and defending fitness to practise cases before a wide variety of professional regulators. He has particular expertise in cases in the healthcare and accountancy sector.

Described by Chambers and Partners as 'technically astute, very clever and charming', Guy has built a strong reputation in the legal industry and sits as a Legal Advisor to Misconduct Panels at the National College for Teaching and Leadership.
