Oxford solicitor nominated for family law award
Oxford solicitor Catherine Morgan has been recognised for outstanding work and her involvement in the local family law community with a nomination for a national award.
The nomination came from a fellow family lawyer in another firm who knows Catherine through her work with the family law association Resolution.
The awards, run by monthly family law journal Jordans, recognise the important work of family lawyers and celebrate their successes and outstanding achievements.
Catherine advises clients in divorce proceedings, matrimonial finance negotiations, cohabitant disputes and children's arrangements, is approaching five years’ qualification as a solicitor.
She is secretary of the Oxfordshire branch of Resolution and organises Young Resolution training and networking events in the local area.
Christine Plews, who leads Blake Morgan’s Family Practice group, said: “This nomination is well-deserved. Catherine is known for her hard work and her ability to provide a first-class service to clients.
“All the team wish her the very best of luck in the next stages of the awards process.”
The shortlisted candidates for the Jordans Family Law Awards will be announced in July, and the winners honoured during a ceremony at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms on October 8. The ceremony follows the Family Law Conference, the leading annual training event for family law practitioners.
The judging panel includes the heads of the leading family law practitioners’ associations, journal editors and legal figures.
