Blake Morgan Partner appointed to Resolution National Committee
Blake Morgan’s Farhana Shahzady, a partner in the firm’s family law team, has been appointed to Resolution’s National Committee.
Resolution is a leading authority in England and Wales for more than 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Alongside the provision of a training and development network for family lawyers, Resolution campaigns for improvements to the family justice system – all of which is overseen by Resolution’s National Committee which provides guidance and direction to the body.
Farhana will join the National Committee this month and will help Resolution continue to champion and shape a better family justice system, particularly in areas such as divorce reform and protecting access to justice for vulnerable people.
Helen Bunker, Divisional Director of Private Law at Blake Morgan said: “Farhana’s appointment to Resolution’s National Committee is a huge achievement and one we’re all proud of. Her appointment comes at a time when the body is seeking to make significant strides on several issues including non-fault based divorce and better protection for cohabitees.
“Farhana’s experience, talent and reputation will help strengthen Resolution’s work and make a real difference to the practice of family law.”
Christine Plews, Head of Family Law at Blake Morgan said: “I’m delighted that Farhana has been appointed to join the National Committee. Farhana is an experienced, dedicated and professional lawyer and one who joins the Committee at a vital time, I know she is committed to playing her part in transforming the family justice system in England and Wales."
