Sarah acts for insurance companies and companies with a high deductible in all personal injury matters.
Main areas of practice
Sarah's work includes handling cases from the letter of claim stage to trial, including appeals and negotiating settlements (joint settlement meetings and mediation). She also deals with implementing a strategy for settling the claim on the best available terms or proceeding to trial, drafting pleadings, court forms and witness statements. Sarah has experience of all types of personal injury claims including stress claims, severe injuries and fraudulent claims.
- Secondment at St Peters NHS Trust one day a week for 5 months in their Quality Department dealing with clinical negligence cases.
- Liaising with clinical staff in order to take witness statements.
- Dealing with disclosure request.
- Liaising with the NHSLA, their solicitors and the Trusts directors in order to facilitate settlements or defend the claim.
