Sean is a highly regarded planning specialist who brings to the firm almost 20 years' experience, mainly in the private property consultancy sector.
Main areas of practice
Main practice areas include planning applications for and strategic promotion of residential (market, affordable, student and care) and large-scale mixed-use regeneration, together with applications for renewable energy schemes (wind and solar), commercial development, retail and leisure uses.
He acts for national, regional and local house builders, land owners, developers and those with individual planning needs.
Sean's particular strengths are in providing commercially-astute advice throughout the planning process and using of his negotiation and communication skills to secure a commercially viable planning permission for his clients, either from local authorities or the appeal process.
With the Government keen to encourage a more mixed approach to housebuilding, developers should be looking to capitalise on the duty of local planning authorities to grant permissions for plots to meet the demand for self and custom builds.
