Gareth is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate team based in Cardiff.
Main areas of practice
Gareth has extensive experience acting for clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, but with a particular focus on asset management, landlord and tenant (including estates and multiples) and the acquisition and disposal of property for development, investment, and retail and leisure purposes. In addition, Gareth works closely with our Finance and Corporate teams where real estate expertise is required on corporate, secured lending (investment, re-finance and development funding) and insolvency transactions.
Gareth acts for a number of the firm’s clients across all sectors, but with a particular focus on asset management, landlord and tenant matters, and the acquisition and disposal of property for development, investment, and retail and leisure purposes.
Banking and Finance
Gareth advises borrowers and lenders (national and regional banks and financial institutions) on investment and development facilities across all real estate finance sectors and involving various real estate finance structures.
Retail & Leisure
Gareth acts for both landlord and tenant clients in granting or taking of leases of a variety of commercial premises for retail and leisure purposes.
Gareth joined Blake Morgan in May 2016 from a commercial law firm in Cardiff where he worked in their Real Estate team since 2007.
- Leading the team that advises a private European owner managed multi – strategy real estate investment firm in connection with its portfolio management of three listed Victorian arcades in central Cardiff and 20 plus multi – let industrial estates located across the UK.
- Acting for a leading global publishing house on the re – gearing of its head office premises in London.
- Acting on the acquisition of the former Avana Bakery site in Rogerstone, Newport for a large privately owned property company.
- Advising a number of regional and national banks and financial institutions on numerous and wide ranging real estate investment and development finance transactions.
