Jennifer is an Associate in the Professional Regulatory team based in our Cardiff office.
She is responsible for supervising fitness to practise investigations for the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Jennifer is experienced in appearing before regulatory committees at fitness to practise hearings in cases involving dishonesty, convictions and sexual misconduct.
Main areas of practice
Jennifer has developed a great deal of experience in regulatory work across a number of regulators. Prior to joining Blake Morgan, Jennifer regularly appeared before the Fitness to Practise Committees of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health and Care Professionals Council and the General Optical Council on behalf of registrants. In addition to representing registrants at substantive hearings, Jennifer also provided representation at interim order hearings and review hearings.
Coming from a defence background, Jennifer brings this experience to her work at Blake Morgan.
Jennifer has previous experience of representing registrants in fitness to practise investigations brought by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Optical Council, Health and Care Professionals Council, General Dental Council, the Architects Regulatory Board and the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 2008 and completed her LPC in Cardiff Law School in 2010.
Jennifer joined Blake Morgan in 2015 having qualified in 2014.
Jennifer is a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme which covers the representation of patients in all proceedings before the first-tier tribunal under the Mental Health Act 1983. Jennifer has experience of representing patients in challenging their detention before the Tribunal.
