Nicola Rochon is a Senior Solicitor in our Intellectual Property team based in Southampton.
Main areas of practice
Nicola assists the team on a wide range of intellectual property disputes including trade mark, passing off, design right, copyright and domain name disputes. Nicola also has experience in the filing and prosecution of trade mark applications, watch services and the preparation of cease and desist letters.
Nicola studied Law at City University London, graduating in 2012, before going on to achieve a Distinction on the LPC at The University of Law Guildford in 2014.
Nicola joined Blake Morgan in 2014 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution team assisting the team on a wide range of intellectual property disputes.
Nicola qualified as a solicitor in 2019, having commenced her training contract with the firm in 2017.
- Preparation of evidence of acquired distinctiveness in support of a UK trade mark Application that had been rejected as being descriptive and/or otherwise lacking in distinctive character.
- The preparation of extensive evidence resulted in the application proceeding to publication.
