Leading law firm Blake Morgan has appointed experienced Succession and Tax Partner Arshoo Singh to its central London office.

Arshoo, who joins from Russell-Cooke LLP, has a wealth of private client experience which includes estate planning for clients based in the UK and internationally, tax, trusts and co-ownership issues arising from relationship breakdowns, administration of cross-border and contentious estates, international capacity issues and Court of Protection work.

Her clients also include professional administrators and trustees where disputes have arisen between the professional advisers and the beneficiaries and professional deputies in cross-border capacity matters.

Arshoo has also been appointed by the court as a joint tax expert in matrimonial proceedings.

Her commitment is reflected by the recognition she has received in the Legal 500 (2017), Private Client Global Elite Directory (2017) the Thompson Reuters ‘London Super Lawyers’ list from 2013 to 2016 and her professional  memberships to bodies including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Law Society’s Private Client Section, Solicitors for the Elderly, and the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists.

Arshoo will join the firm’s London office at New Street Square where she will be a key player in the future plans of the Succession and Tax team, and the wider Private Law division.

Mark Spash, Regional Senior Partner for the firm’s London office said: “Arshoo has developed an impressive track record in her career so far and brings with her a range of experience to further strengthen our award winning Private Law division. As a well-respected private client professional, I am confident that her commitment to providing innovative solutions for our clients will be an excellent addition to the team, and our London office as a whole.

Arshoo’s appointment follows a number of recent investments to Blake Morgan’s Private Law division across England and Wales. Lisa Davies, an experienced private client lawyer joined the firm to head up the  Succession and Tax team in Blake Morgan’s Cardiff office, and two new partners Flora Grossman and Farhana Shahzady were appointed to lead the Family Law team from the firm’s London office late last year.

Helen Bunker, Partner and Head of Blake Morgan’s Private Law division said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Arshoo to Blake Morgan as we continue to expand our Private Law offering across the UK. The addition of Arshoo alongside Lisa, Flora and Farhana, is a display of our commitment to ensure we are providing a first rate level of service to our clients in all areas of Private Law. We wish Arshoo the very best as she takes the next step in her career with Blake Morgan.”

Blake Morgan’s Private Law division act for a wide range of clients including high net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners, farms and estates, and families requiring advice on succession and tax, residential property or sensitive family issues spanning, divorce, mediation and mental capacity.
