Blake Morgan representatives attended the South Coast Property Awards at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton, as an award category sponsor and judge on Thursday, 19 July.

Organised by The Business Magazine, this is the south coast’s biggest property event, recognising 60 finalists in 15 award categories. More than 400 agents, builders, investors, lawyers, architects, planners and consultants attended.

One of the UK’s most recognisable broadcasters, Adrian Chiles, hosted the event, treating the audience to a lively assessment of his career, motivations and inspirations.

Blake Morgan was proud sponsor of the Regeneration Project of the Year award category. Partner Olly Sowton joined Adrian Chiles on stage to present the trophy to the winner, Goldsmith Avenue, Portsmouth – VIVID.

Mike Shepherd, development director, VIVID, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to win. There were lots of challenges to deal with on this project, including nearby Victorian terraced housing, the football club and a railway line. The architecture for the two apartment blocks is very interesting and contemporary for its location. We delivered affordable housing that is environmentally friendly, working very closely with HGP Architects and building contractor PMC.”

Olly Sowton said: “Sponsoring an award at such a high profile property event fits with our positioning of the firm within the property market in the Central South and with it being an award for Regeneration Project, fits with our ongoing work with Regenerate South.”
