Sally-Ann James was the first lawyer to join Metro Bank, as sole Counsel, in February 2012 and was promoted to General Counsel in 2014 and has now built a team of 11. Over the years she has been the runner up In-House Lawyer of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2016, winner of the Banking In-House Individual of the Year at The Legal 500 UK Awards 2017 and recognised in The Lawyer Hot 100 2017. Metro Bank’s Legal Team was shortlisted for In-House Banking & Financial services Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2018.
Lyn Carpenter
Chief Executive Chair of the Association of South Essex Local Authorities Board
Lyn Carpenter is a transformational and outcome focused public sector leader with over 25 years’ local government service in 8 different local authorities including Bexley, Crawley, Elmbridge and Merton Councils having started life in the private leisure sector. She has extensive experience of leading large organisations, leading change, supporting organisations in times of difficulty and managing large complex resource portfolios in times of austerity. Lyn was appointed as Chief Executive of Thurrock Council in September 2015.
Lyn is the Chief Executive Chair of the Association of South Essex Local Authorities Board (ASELA) in addition to this she leads on the Creative Industries and Green Blue agenda for South Essex
