Legal Insight Day
Aimed at students in year 11 and above, the Legal Insight Day provides students with a glimpse into life at a law firm. It will develop your understanding of the legal profession, types of qualified legal professionals and the career pathways. In addition, students will receive helpful application and interview tips, learn about commercial awareness, work through an activity and hear from members of our legal teams.
The dates for 2027 are:
Cardiff – Wednesday 31 March 2027
Reading – Thursday 1 April 2027
Oxford – Monday 5 April 2027
London – Wednesday 7 April 2027
Southampton – Thursday 8 April 2027
How to apply for a legal insight day
You will need to complete a short application form which can be found by selecting ‘search vacancies’ from the careers drop down list. The application form will only be live during the application window, listed below, and all applications will be reviewed after the application window has closed.

Business Services Insight Day
Blake Morgan’s legal teams are supported by a range of Business Services teams which are Business Development & Marketing, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, IT and Risk & Compliance.
Aimed at students in year 11 and above, the Business Services Insight Day will provide you with a rounded overview of the different types of careers within these teams. You will also gain an understanding of how these teams work with and support the firm, receive helpful application and interview tips, work through an activity and hear from members of our Business Services teams.

Thames Valley – Monday 2 August 2027
Cardiff – Wednesday 4 August 2027
Southampton – Monday 9 August 2027
London – Wednesday 11 August 2027

Business Services Insight Day: application window opens on Monday 14 June and closes on Sunday 20 June 2027.
Legal work experience
Legal work experience is only available for undergraduates and graduates. During the week, you will gain insights into our working practices, experience day-to-day life in a Top 50 law firm and work closely with a variety of qualified lawyers – from Trainees to Partners. You will spend each day with a different practice group and be immersed in the team. You could be asked to attend client meetings and take notes, complete research tasks, draft correspondence to clients or review documents for cases.
The work experience will run Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4.30pm with an hour for lunch. Attending work experience is a full-time commitment and attendees must be able to attend the full duration of the work experience period. Please note, we do not offer accommodation or travel reimbursement for attendees.
We offer legal work experience opportunities on two weeks throughout the year. There are a limited number of placements available for each week, applicants will be selected on the strength of their application and are not guaranteed a placement.

Spring – Monday 22 March to Thursday 25 March 2027
Autumn – Monday 6 September to Thursday 9 September 2027

Business Services work experience
Business Services work experience is aimed at students in year 11 and above. During the week, you will gain insight into our culture, values and working practices through spending time within the Business Services teams which are Business Development & Marketing, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, IT and Risk & Compliance. You will spend time with a range of teams and work closely with a variety of employees at various stages of their career. You could work with reception to greet clients and prepare meeting rooms, work with IT to see what first and second line support looks like and spend time with HR looking at polices and processes.
Please note you will only work within the Business Services teams listed above and therefore if you are seeking work experience within a legal team, please only apply for the Legal work experience.
The work experience will run Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4.30pm with an hour for lunch.
