Careers at Blake Morgan

We want our people to be their best and to be happy and fulfilled at work. It’s that simple.

It’s why we’re known for our open, friendly and supportive working environment. It’s why we focus on straight-forward and transparent communications and processes.

It’s why we talk a lot about ‘making a difference’ whether that’s for our clients, our communities or our people.

When you join Blake Morgan, you can expect to work hard of course, but you can also expect to be part of a team that pulls together and works towards a common goal; you can expect to be trusted and respected for your professional knowledge and expertise whichever part of the firm you work in; you can expect to have the resources and flexibility you need to get the job done well; and you can expect to have fun.

You’ll be joining a firm that is dedicated and determined in pursuit of success for its clients; which supports its people to build careers and realise their full potential; and which is committed to giving back to its local communities and to providing volunteering and funding for local charities.

Some of our volunteering and fundraising projects

Legal and wellbeing walks

Cardiff, London, Oxford and Reading Legal Walks are all taken on regularly with a number of Blake Morgan participants from the different offices. All events raise money for charities including Reaching Justice Wales, the London Legal Support Trust and advice agencies in and around Oxford and Reading, helping vulnerable people. We also do regular lunchtime wellbeing walks for the benefit of our staff.

Marathons and more runs

Each year Blake Morgan staff participate in a wide variety of runs, including the London Marathon and various other events across the UK. Awareness and funds are raised for a variety of office charities, or charities that are close to the heart of the participant. We also have a Chair’s Charity pot which can match fundraising up to certain amounts.

Office charity fundraising

A wide range of activities take place to raise funds for charities. These vary each year but there is a traditional Christmas Partner Auction where staff bid for partners to wear festival outfits, which the ‘winner’ dons for the day. There are also cake bakes, sky diving, knit-a-thons, sweepstakes, walks and much, much more.
