From social activities to corporate social responsibility, from the moment you join the team you’ll have a wealth of social and networking opportunities available to you. We also have a range of EDI initiatives which you are encouraged to participate in and help make a difference.
Graduates
Our Period of Recognised Training is carefully structured and designed to provide variety, responsibility and intellectual challenge.
Our trainee solicitors complete a series of 6 month placements across a range of business groups so you will gain experience in a range of specialisms and a real commercial understanding of how our teams work together to provide relevant, realistic legal solutions to our clients’ business challenges.
With each placement your supervisor will involve you directly in work so you learn from personal experience as well as observation and instruction. Many of our trainees also have the opportunity to go on a secondment with one of our clients.
We check in on your progress and development regularly with a mid-seat and end of seat review. Our Trainee Regional Partners are also on hand to give you support and guidance as you progress through your Period of Recognised Training.
Through our Blake Morgan Academy, you will have access to a range of learning resources to supplement your professional education and enable you to complete the Professional Skills Course requirements.
To apply for a training contract at Blake Morgan, please do so via our Online Portal. The various stages of recruitment are laid out below.

Recruitment stages
Our recruitment process for Periods of Recognised Training typically opens on 1 November each year. Please see details of each stage in the process below:
Stage one
Complete your application using Apply4Law. We use a standardised application form and look for evidence of thorough research, awareness of Blake Morgan and the markets in which we operate. We're keen to hear about you, your personal achievements and what makes us a great match for one another.
Stage two
Attend a telephone interview. Once we've reviewed applications, we invite successful candidates to a short telephone interview with our Graduate Recruitment team.

Short-listed candidates will be invited along to a regional interview panel. At this interview you will be asked to consider a legal scenario as well as answering questions based on your application form. Stage four
We will let you know if we will be making you an offer as soon as we possibly can.
