Adam is a Trust Manager in the Succession & Tax Team in Southampton.
Main area of work
Adam’s role involves co-ordinating the management of the firm’s Trustee clients, handling the day-to-day administration of the Trusts in his care, liaising with the Trustees, be they professional or lay Trustees, Beneficiaries, other members of the Team and investment managers or accountants, as necessary, to ensure the smooth running of the Trusts. Adam will frequently instruct other members of the wider Team to carry out all necessary compliance work, including the preparation of annual trust accounts and tax returns, and he personally undertakes the registration and management of Trusts on HMRC’s Trust Registration Service (TRS).
Adam also assists the wider Team dealing with the management of properties held in Trust or in deceased’s Estates. This will involve making sure that the properties are adequately insured and that any required maintenance is undertaken to protect the value of the property whilst it remains the Trustees’ or Executors’ responsibility to do so. He will also liaise with surveyors, valuers, clearance companies and estate agents as/when required to ensure all barriers to a smooth and timely transfer or sale are removed.

Career
Adam joined Blake Morgan in 2006 as the firm’s Marketing Manager, prior to this he spent 5 years as a Senior Marketing Executive at accountants BDO in London.
Has a CIM Diploma in Marketing.

Prior to joining the Trust Team, Adam worked with the head of the Private Client Business Group and Team Leaders on business strategy and project management. Before that, Adam was the firm’s Marketing manager, responsible for managing the Marketing Communications team, as well as providing marketing and BD support to Private Client.
