Blaise is an Associate in the Construction and Engineering team at our Reading office, advising clients on range of contentious construction matters.
Main areas of practice
Blaise advises a range of developer, employer, main contractor and subcontractor clients on all aspects of contentious construction matters and disputes. He guides clients on dispute avoidance during live projects involving a range of standard form and bespoke contracts, helping them achieve their commercial objectives cost efficiently.
Blaise is proficient in a wide range of dispute resolution methods and has experience advising clients on bringing and defending claims in the Technology and Construction Court, representing clients at mediations and managing settlement negotiations. He has a particular expertise in adjudication, regularly guiding clients through the process and has a track record of achieving favourable outcomes.
Blaise has recently been involved in a number of claims relating to fire safety defects in high rise buildings, involving combustible cladding and insulation materials, defective cavity barriers and fire stopping issues. He regularly assists clients with the management of risk and the recovery of funds to remediate these buildings.

Expertise
Career
Blaise qualified as a solicitor in 2022 and joined the Construction team at Blake Morgan in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in Commercial Litigation, acting for clients on a range of disputes including company, shareholder, intellectual property, construction, property and general contractual issues.
Blaise graduated from the University of York with an LLB in Law and obtained a distinction on the LPC at BPP University in London with a combined Masters in Law.
