Emma Bilton

Emma is an Associate in the Construction team, based in our Cardiff office.

Main areas of practice

Emma has experience working with developers, public sector teams, private sector clients and contractors across a variety of sectors. She is familiar with both JCT and NEC contracts and has experience preparing and negotiating a range of construction documents including building contract amendments, professional appointments, collateral warranties, novation deeds and other ancillary documents.

Emma also has experience assisting with a variety of contentious matters, resolving disputes through both adjudication and negotiation.

Career

Emma graduated from Swansea University in 2019 with an LLB Law degree and then completed the combined Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law at Cardiff University in September 2020.

Emma joined the firm in 2021 as a Paralegal in the Property Litigation team and qualified into the Construction team in March 2025. She was promoted to Associate in July 2026.
