Imran is a partner in the firm’s Restructuring & Insolvency team in London.
Main areas of practice
Imran advises on all aspects of domestic and cross border restructuring and insolvency, representing a diverse client base that includes distressed investors, financial institutions, bondholders, directors, insolvency practitioners, and corporates.
His practice spans a wide range of sectors, with particular experience in automotive, manufacturing, real estate, financial services, retail, telecommunications, leisure, oil & gas, and sport. His approach combines deep technical knowledge with a commercial mindset, enabling him to deliver innovative and practical solutions for complex financial and operational challenges.

Career
Imran trained and qualified as a solicitor in 2012 at Sidley Austin, later joining Fried Frank’s Restructuring & Insolvency team before heading up the restructuring and insolvency and practice at Armstrong Teasdale and being partners at other firms. He holds an LLB from King’s College London and an LLM from the University of Cambridge.
Imran joined Blake Morgan as a partner in June 2025.

- Advised on the acquisition of major furniture retailers and subsequent pre-packaged sale.
- Acted on the restructuring and pre pack sale of a fashion retailer to a major sports and clothing retailer.
- Advised as anchor investor in a consortium providing a US$1.08 billion capital investment in an oil company’s restructuring.
- Counsel on restructuring activities.
- Advised on multiple transactions, including loan acquisitions and refinancing of major European assets.
- Lead counsel on a multijurisdictional restructuring involving Mauritius, Kenya, UK, and Cayman entities with debt exceeding US$100m.
