Lucy is a barrister in our Regulatory Team, having joined Blake Morgan in 2023.

Lucy is a regulatory specialist, with a particular focus on professional discipline/ fitness to practise in the education, social care and healthcare sectors.

Expertise

Career

Lucy graduated from the University of Durham with a degree in Law with European Legal Studies. She spent the penultimate year of her degree on the Erasmus programme, studying European and International Law at Leibniz Universität Hannover in Germany.

After graduating, Lucy spent time as an intern to the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, working under Joanna Korner KC.

Lucy was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 2013. She was awarded the Lincoln’s Inn European Scholarship to The Hague, where she spent four months working as the intern to Judge Akua Kuenyehia of Ghana in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court.

After completing pupillage, Lucy worked as an in-house barrister at a top 100 UK law firm, specialising in public law and other practice areas.

Prior to joining Blake Morgan, Lucy worked at the Crown Prosecution Service, where she provided the police with advice on complex cases and conducted Magistrates’ and Crown Court advocacy.

Since joining Blake Morgan, Lucy has developed her expertise in regulatory law and professional discipline and regularly appears before fitness to practise panels.
