Sophie Groffman

Sophie is a Solicitor in the Commercial and Charities team in our Reading office.

Main areas of practice

Sophie specialises in commercial law, with experience in cross-border contracts, commercial regulations, export controls and sanctions compliance. She also supports clients with domestic and overseas due diligence investigations and provides guidance on a wide range of commercial agreements, helping businesses navigate transactions.

Career

Sophie graduated from University of Surrey in 2021 with an undergraduate degree in law and then completed her Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2022. She trained at HCR law in its Reading and London offices, and qualified into its commercial department in March 2025. She gained experience in advising on a wide range of commercial matters and now builds on that experience as part of the Blake Morgan team.
