Spencer is a Senior Associate in our Court of Protection team based in Southampton. He has over 10 years’ experience of advising in the field of mental capacity, Court of Protection disputes and health and social care matters.

Main areas of practice

Spencer specialises in high value financial and health and welfare disputes in the Court of Protection concerning the elderly and vulnerable.

He advises individuals and public bodies on the wide range of services provided by social services and the NHS to help adults and children with health and social care needs.

Spencer has extensive experience in looking after the finances and welfare of those unable to do so themselves under Deputyship, Personal Injury Trust and Attorney arrangements.

Clients

Spencer acts for vulnerable individuals and their families as well as public bodies (such as Local Authorities and the NHS) and care homes.

Prior to joining Blake Morgan, Spencer was the Lead Solicitor for Adult Social Services for a Local Authority in Dorset and later a Senior Solicitor for a regional firm in the South.
