Tom specialises in commercial law, with a particular focus on cross-border contracts. He provides timely, measured advice on a broad range of commercial matters and helps clients navigate the complexities of trading in the global marketplace.
Main areas of practice
Whilst his main specialism is B2B private sector work, he is equally adept at the structuring and implementation of complex major procurement projects for public sector clients.
Tom’s prior expertise in commercial real estate law means he is well placed to assist clients with their intersecting commercial and property needs. His time spent setting up and running his own company means he understands the pressures businesses face and ensures his advice to clients is always focused on helping them achieve the best possible commercial outcome.

Career
Tom graduated from the University of Manchester in 2009 with a BA in Arabic, Spanish & Portuguese. He worked for an international NGO in North Africa during the 2011 Arab Spring before moving to the UAE in 2013 to work on major infrastructure and energy projects in the private sector.
From 2014–2018 he worked in the travel and tourism sector in Latin America before returning to the UK in 2019, leveraging his experience to set up his own company focusing on wine tourism to England’s vineyards. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic Tom pivoted away from tourism and towards a career in law.
He completed the GDL, achieving a Distinction, and joined a major national firm in 2021, training in their commercial litigation and commercial property teams prior to completing the SQE and qualifying as a solicitor in 2023.
