Blake Morgan recognised for outstanding workplace culture at Wales Business Awards
Blake Morgan has been named the winner of the Outstanding Workplace Culture Award at the Wales Business Awards 2026, held on Thursday 14 May.
The award recognises organisations that demonstrate a strong commitment to creating an environment where employees can thrive, with a clear focus on health, safety and wellbeing. Judges noted that people are the backbone of every successful business, with employee wellbeing playing a vital role in long-term performance and growth.
The recognition reflects Blake Morgan’s sustained focus on fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive culture office culture, ensuring colleagues feel valued and empowered in their roles.
In addition to its success in the workplace culture category, Blake Morgan was also proud to be named as a finalist in the Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year, highlighting the firm’s investment in early talent and commitment to developing the next generation of legal professionals.
Commenting on the award win, Lee Fisher, Co-Head of Office (Wales) at Blake Morgan, said:
I’ve worked here for 30 years and the thing that has kept me in the job is the culture in the workplace. I would like to thank everyone in the office who has helped make the culture what it is.
This award is more for our former Head of Office Eve Piffaretti who, after seven years in the job has now passed it on to me and Daniela [Smith]. The culture she has built over those seven years has been amazing, so we’d like to dedicate this award to Eve.
The award win recognises the collective efforts of colleagues across the firm in building a workplace that prioritises collaboration, wellbeing and professional development. Blake Morgan has continued to evolve its people-focused initiatives, ensuring employees are supported both professionally and personally.
The Wales Business Awards celebrate the achievements of businesses across the nation, showcasing excellence, innovation and impact across a wide range of sectors.
As part of its involvement in this year’s awards, Blake Morgan was also proud to sponsor the Creative Impact Award, which recognises organisations or individuals making a significant creative contribution. The award was won by Black Swan Productions, whose work stood out for its innovation and impact.
