International Mentoring Day – GROW and Blake Morgan Mentoring Partnership

Today (17 January) marks International Mentoring Day, which is designed to foster global understanding and awareness of the benefits of mentoring. To celebrate this day, Blake Morgan is delighted to announce our new partnership with the mentoring organisation, GROW Mentoring.

GROW Mentoring is a registered charity supporting diverse lawyers, addressing intersectionality within the legal profession and working with aspiring lawyers through one-to-one mentoring. Since 2020, GROW has successfully paired over 2,000 students from over 100 universities with mentors. Currently 79% of mentees are from non-Russell group universities, while 49% are from ethnic minority backgrounds with the majority being from an underrepresented community.

GROW's unique approach pairs aspiring lawyers and legal professionals with similar backgrounds or interests, allowing mentees to feel represented in the profession.

Blake Morgan are looking forward to partnering with GROW as it will help the law firm achieve their aims under the Social Mobility Pledge and to deliver wider Equality, Diversity and Inclusion action plans.
