Equality Act as amended by the Worker Protection Act
The preventative duty is going to be expanded later this year to include taking “all” reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of those “in employment”. The preventative duty is in addition to the current protections contained in the Equality Act 2010.
Blake Morgan has partnered with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, the UK’s leading personal safety charity, to create a series of online, on demand practical and legally grounded e-learning sessions on making the modern workplace safer.
The easily available, on demand e-learning sessions are designed for employers of all sizes and focus on the importance of both culture and legislation in driving behavioural change and tackling sexual and other forms of harassment in the workplace.
The online, on-demand service, can be hosted on an employer’s own Learning Management System (LMS), or the Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s LMS, offering scalability, consistency and flexibility.
For employers who want to roll out the training to their employees, Blake Morgan and the Suzy Lamplugh Trust offer a package of e-learning, in the form of four videos, which they can use on demand, as frequently as they like. Administration of sales and delivery of the e-learning is managed by the trust. It is a structured, on-demand e-learning programme that:
- Explains what sexual harassment is.
- Breaks down the new preventative duty and what “reasonable steps” may look like in practice.
- Helps organisations identify potential risk factors before incidents occur.
- Trains managers, employees, and bystanders to recognise, respond to, and prevent harassment.
- Supports employers to evidence compliance.
- The focus is prevention, culture, and accountability, not box-ticking.

Bespoke sexual harassment policies, advice and in-person training can also be arranged.
