Counsel+ Real Estate network
This is an opportunity for dedicated real estate lawyers within the Counsel+ network to get to know each other and share best practice and experiences about their roles within an informal and confidential environment.
The new network launched with a virtual roundtable on 13 July at 10am. Hosted by a Blake Morgan team with first-hand experience of working in in-house property roles, the focus of this first session was on:
- The role of real estate counsel within the in-house legal team;
- Managing stakeholder engagement between real estate and non-real estate facing parts of the business; and
- How to strike the right balance on the use of outside counsel v keeping work in-house.
It was a non-structured format and Chatham House Rule applies.
The event was by invite only with limited numbers to ensure everyone gets a chance to contribute.
