A workshop on how to get heard and grow personal value
What happens when you have something to say that needs to be said but face resistance? You’ve been brought in to add value but you don’t feel heard. How do you confront and redirect the leadership’s thinking to gain buy-in to your ideas?
A NED needs the courage to speak up and challenge others’ thinking, but also to have the gravitas and persuasive communication skills to get buy in. In this session Tamsin covered the techniques and know-how needed for those crucial conversations to happen effectively, and to confront and redirect others’ thinking.
Tamsin highlighted the 12 principles of engagement to win people to your way of thinking, a technique to effectively hijacking conversations, and a formula for learning how to trust your instincts and leave nothing important unsaid.
The session included breakout discussion groups and a chance to network.
Tamsin was joined by our Blake Morgan hosts, many of whom work with, or hold their own, Non-Executive Director posts.
