Significant experience

Accountants: Andrew works closely with accountants and VAT advisors to structure property developments in the charity, education and primary care sectors. He also liaises on the VAT savings and on capital allowance issues that are often necessary to allow a doctor led surgery development to proceed.

Partnerships: He has experience in partnership and Limited Liability Partnership issues including formation and associated agreements and related property issues and expulsions.

Charities: Andrew deals with all property issues for the charity sector. In particular he undertakes landlord and tenant work and development projects for nationally known charities and high profile educational establishments such as the Oxford Colleges and Universities.

Climate change: Having been a member of Greenpeace in his early twenties, Andrew maintains a strong interest in renewables and has advised on wind turbine solar anaerobic digestion, micro-hydro projects and many local community groups on the leasing of roofs for solar generation. He was one of the first people in the country to be involved in and to advise on such projects.

Education: Andrew advises on all property issues facing the education sector from development projects and landlord and tenant issues facing Universities and Oxford Colleges and other Higher Education Establishments to Academy Conversions and work for private schools.

Mediation: Andrew is a trained and experienced mediator and has particular expertise in mediating property disputes.

Health and care: He works for general medical practices throughout the country advising on surgery development projects and practice agreements and on disputes between partners and expulsions. He also acts for banks who fund surgery development projects and third party developers who undertake such projects.
