David leads Blake Morgan’s HR Consultancy Service and has extensive HR, senior management and consultancy experience.
Main areas of practice
With experience as HR Director of a large and complex organisation, together with success in chief executive roles, David deploys a blend of HR, general management skills and knowledge to both operational and strategic issues across a wide range of organisations.
Clients
His recent ‘not for profit’ clients have included three private schools, a Catholic diocese, a Housing Association, a care homes provider, a community finance organisation and a university student union.
David’s recent private sector clients include a multinational manufacturer and a worldwide risk analysis practice, as well as a number of SMEs, including a marketing and design company and industrial supplies and manufacturing companies.

A range of sectors including , Charities, Social Enterprises, Education (higher and secondary), Food and Non Food Retail, Funeral Services, Property Investment, Distribution (ambient and temperature controlled), IT, E-Commerce, Food Processing and Manufacturing.
Other expertise
David’s recent client activity has included managing and advising on redundancy processes; facilitating and chairing appeal hearings; conducting disciplinary and grievance investigations, including those involving chief executives; senior recruitment and selection; a comprehensive review of employee policies and contracts; reviewing HR provision and an organisational structure and process review.
