James Heafford

James is an Associate within our Commercial Litigation team based in the Oxford office.

Main areas of practice

James has experience in resolving a range of commercial litigation matters, chiefly concerning: contractual performance, termination, breach of post-termination restrictive covenants, misuse of confidential information, and defamation / malicious falsehood.

Career

Prior to joining Blake Morgan, James graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 with a 2:1 degree in Law with German and German Law, before going on to achieve a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction in his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in 2020.

He started his training contact with the firm in September 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in September 2022. As part of his training, James also spent time with our Real Estate, Property Litigation, Professional Regulatory and Family teams.
