Matthew Bartlett

Matthew is working towards qualification and has experience in both contentious and non-contentious areas of law. Matthew currently sits in the Banking & Finance Team, and collaborates with other fee earners, assisting clients on both the lender and borrower sides of lending agreements.

Main areas of practice

Previously, Matthew worked as a paralegal in the Commercial Property Department. During his training contract he has worked in the Corporate Team and the Travel Team and is now in his third seat, sitting in Banking & Finance.

Career

Matthew graduated with an LLB from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and subsequently achieved a Distinction in the PGDL at The University of Law. He has successfully passed SQE1 and is currently pursuing SQE2 part-time. Prior to commencing his training contract, Matthew gained valuable experience as a paralegal in the Commercial Property team at Blake Morgan. Since commencing his training contract, he has developed his skills in both contentious and non-contentious legal work.
