Matthew Bartlett

Matthew is working towards qualification and has experience in both contentious and non-contentious areas of law. Matthew currently sits in the Commercial Litigation Team and assists in a wide variety of commercial disputes including commercial contract claims, shareholding disputes, professional negligence, and insolvency disputes.

Main areas of practice

Previously, Matthew worked as a paralegal in the Commercial Property Department. During his training contract he has worked in the Corporate Team, the Travel Team, the Banking & Finance Team and is now in his fourth seat, sitting in Commercial Litigation.

Career

Matthew graduated with an LLB from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and subsequently achieved a Distinction in the PGDL at The University of Law. He has successfully passed the SQE’s. Prior to commencing his training contract, Matthew gained valuable experience as a paralegal in the Commercial Property team at Blake Morgan. Since commencing his training contract, he has developed his skills in both contentious and non-contentious legal work.
