Sarah is based in our London office and is a member of Blake Morgan’s Risk & Compliance team, having previously been a member of the Commercial Litigation team. Sarah has a wide range of litigation experience, to include professional negligence, commercial litigation, property litigation and insolvency. Sarah has acted for private individuals, companies, other law firms and in house legal teams, and has acted as UK agent to law firms overseas, in Privy Council cases. For several years Sarah successfully ran Blake Morgan’s London agency practice, acting for other law firms and in house legal teams, in relation to all stages of court processes and representation, including appearing before Masters, District Judges and Registrars and acting as UK agent in Privy Council cases.

Main areas of practice

Sarah’s role in Risk & Compliance is very varied and includes defendant Professional Indemnity work, Anti-Money Laundering and Solicitors Regulatory Authority Codes of Practice compliance and Data Protection/UK GDPR work.

Professional Negligence, issues arising from the SRA Code of Conduct.
Civil Procedure Rules, Supreme Court and Privy Council Rules and Court Procedures: Sarah is recognised for her knowledge of the courts and legal procedures, together with her experience, this means that Sarah can assist with a wide variety of procedural issues, for example: obtaining urgent worldwide freezing injunctions, orders for service by alternative methods, orders for service out of the jurisdiction, the enforcement of various UK judgments and orders within the UK and abroad and the registration and enforcement of foreign judgments and orders in the UK.
Advocacy: Member of Blake Morgan’s (formerly Lapthorn’s) Advocacy Unit.

Sarah joined Blake Morgan in 2005 and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2011. In 2022 Sarah moved to the Risk & Compliance team and was promoted to Associate in 2023.
