Join Beth Walsh, Partner and Head of Blake Morgan's Charities team, on Thursday 12 November 2026 at 10.00 am, for a practical and insightful webinar examining the legal, governance and operational challenges that charity trustees and senior leaders should be preparing for as they look towards 2027.

Webinar information

With Martyn’s Law due to come into force in Spring 2027 and increasing scrutiny from regulators, we will also discuss what steps trustees and charity leaders can take now to ensure their organisations are equipped to manage evolving responsibilities and emerging risks.

During the webinar, Beth will explore the impact of Martyn’s Law, including which charities may be affected and the practical steps organisations can take to prepare for the new requirements. She will also examine some of the most common governance issues highlighted by the Charity Commission, including financial oversight, compliance with governing documents and the effective management of conflicts of interest.

The session will conclude with a look ahead to the key risks facing charities in 2027, including financial resilience, safeguarding, cyber security and reputational risk, providing practical insights to help trustees and senior leaders strengthen governance and build organisational resilience.
