Blake Morgan advises on acquisition of leading Irish retail technology support company

Posted on 19th July 2024

Blake Morgan, in conjunction with Byrne Wallace LLP, has advised Vista Technology Support on its acquisition of Dublin headquartered Store Computer Technology (SCT) to continue their strategic growth plan.

The deal helps Vista expand their retail and hospitality support capabilities in Ireland and Europe and will strengthen its position as a leading independent retail IT services provider.

SCT was established in 1994 by John Hogan and has grown substantially. It now provides IT service desk, in-store technology maintenance and technology refresh projects to some of the most well-known Irish and international retail and hospitality brands from its head office, service desk, staging centre and warehouses based in Dublin and forward stock locations and field service engineers located throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Vista’s Commercial Director, Lucy Mayer, commented:

This acquisition is the natural culmination of many years of close partnership between Vista and SCT. We are now really excited to enter the next chapter of our partnership, which will cement Vista’s presence in Ireland and also enable continued investment in SCT to allow for future growth and service enhancement.

I would like to thank Richard (Jones) and the Blake Morgan team for their advice on this to help complete the acquisition seamlessly.

Blake Morgan Corporate Partner, Richard Jones added:

“This is an excellent deal, acquiring a leading Irish retail technology support company will allow Vista to flourish. We were delighted to have supported on this transaction.”
