Corporate specialists at Blake Morgan advised IT services provider Virtual Clarity in securing an investment agreement from CSC, a global leader in cloud solutions.

Lawrence Phillips, a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial team in Blake Morgan’s London office, led on the deal, which will enhance Virtual Clarity’s offering to clients, accelerating adoption of cloud environments including Amazon Web Services, IBM Cloud and Microsoft Azure.

Lawrence was supported by a cross-practice Blake Morgan team which included corporate and commercial partner Simon Stokes, a specialist in intellectual property and IT law, and Maria Watmough, a legal director in the Banking and Finance team.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will make an undisclosed investment in Virtual Clarity, which helps clients solve large, complex business problems and provides IT consultation services across the financial services, insurance, telecoms and manufacturing industries.

Virtual Clarity will become a strategic affiliate of CSC and the two companies will collaborate on joint pursuits.

Lawrence Phillips said: “This was a deal where both parties were operating to tight timescales and the Blake Morgan team delivered timely, clear-thinking, strategic advice to secure the deal, demonstrating the depth and breadth of expertise across the firm.”

Steve Peskin, CEO of Virtual Clarity, said: “Blake Morgan’s advice was key to securing this significant agreement, which will accelerate Virtual Clarity’s work in next generation IT services and cloud solutions.”
