Blake Morgan bolsters Banking & Finance team with trio of new hires
Law firm Blake Morgan has made three new hires to its leading Banking & Finance team, further strengthening its expertise in the practice area.
Simon Owen and Dan Webster both join the firm as Partners, while Harry Taylor joins as Senior Associate. The trio will be based in Blake Morgan’s London office joining the already well-established banking and finance team in that office, and increasing the size of the national team of Banking & Finance specialist lawyers to 18.
Simon has a strong background in real estate finance, corporate banking and restructuring, having worked in the sector for over three decades, and has particular expertise in healthcare and hotels, advising both borrowers and lenders. Simon joins from a national firm where he was a partner and led the finance, corporate and insolvency businesses.
Dan brings over 20 years of experience of advising on finance transactions and has worked for a large variety of clients, including institutional and alternative lenders, property developers, and corporates. He has built his expertise across several prominent law firms, including Shearman & Sterling and Allen & Overy and latterly, a leading national firm.
Harry advises lenders, real estate investors, developers and corporate borrowers on a broad range of finance transactions. He has particular expertise in real estate finance, also advising on corporate reorganisations, inter-bank lending and general corporate banking. Harry has spent time on client secondment at HSBC and Pegasus Homes, and joins from a leading national firm.
