Blake Morgan supports Development Bank of Wales investment

Posted on 17th July 2025

Blake Morgan advised the Development Bank of Wales (DBW) as they made a significant equity investment to help Screentec grow.

The equity investment part funded a management buy-out to aid the growth of the print business, which is based in the Rhondda Valley. Screentec has clients in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, construction and professional services.

Corporate Partner, Richard Jones, was ably supported by Sara Trevor and Sarah Rudolf as the leading law firm advised the DBW on the deal.

Screentec founding directors David Dean and Darren James have been able to pursue other business interests through the equity investment. The MBO means the business can focus on driving growth under the new leadership team.

Richard Jones commented on the deal:

The completion of the MBO is good news for all involved, we were delighted to work on this investment and wish everyone future success.
