Catch up on consultation and implementation of the Health Impact Assessment (Wales) Regulations 2025
This event was co-hosted by Blake Morgan, 39 Essex Chambers, HICO Wales and the Centre for Consultation, and took place on Thursday 24 September 2026 in Blake Morgan’s Cardiff office.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet and network with public and third sector colleagues, while gain practical insights from experts on key issues shaping the sector in Wales. Eve Piffaretti, Partner, and Sarah Whittle, Legal Director, were joined by speakers from our co-sponsors: Hugh Irwin (HICO Wales) and Kathy Graham (Centre for Consultation) and guest speaker, Darren Hughes (Director, Welsh NHS Confederation)
The morning started with networking over coffee, followed by a keynote address, panel sessions and interactive workshops. Key topics included how to conduct effective public consultations, and explored the requirements for robust impact assessments, as well as discussions over the challenges faced by organisations.
